I’m so happy you’re here!

Meet our Founder, GILLIAN!

I I began teaching yoga in New York City in 2014, when life felt fast and loud and everybody was always in a hurry. Teaching gave me a way to slow the pace and create space for people to simply breathe, stretch, and enjoy the moment. I loved that. But there was a point early on when one of my fellow instructors, whom I looked up to, told me she did not understand my teaching style. She said it did not look like what yoga was supposed to look like. And for a moment, I let that make me feel like a bad instructor.

Then I made a decision.
If I was a bad teacher, I was going to be the best bad teacher in the world.

Not dramatic. Not rebellious for the sake of it. Just free! Free from the idea that yoga has to be serious, rigid, or only one way to be real. I wanted to create an experience that felt relaxed and warm. A class where women could move, laugh, stretch, listen to music they actually love, and enjoy being with their people.

That is where Bad Girls Yoga began. The word bad is a wink. It means we do not need perfection. We do not need to perform. We show up as we are and we enjoy the moment together.

Today, Bad Girls Yoga is a private group experience for bachelorettes, birthdays, girls weekends, and celebrations of all kinds. We come to your space, set the tone, and guide your group through a feel good flow that ends with a rosé toast to mark the moment.

Because the best part of yoga does not have to be quiet.
It can be joy. Connection. Presence. Friendship.

About Bad Girls Yoga

Bad Girls Yoga was created with one idea in mind: yoga can be fun. It can feel light, social, and memorable. It does not have to be serious or perfect. It can simply be an experience that brings people together.

We host private group classes for bachelorette weekends, girls trips, birthdays, weddings, retreats, and any moment worth celebrating. We come to you and create a class that feels effortless and enjoyable, with music your group actually loves and an atmosphere that feels warm and relaxed.

This is not about improving your practice or working toward a fitness goal. This is about enjoying the moment you are in. Laughing. Stretching. Moving together. Being with your favorite people and making a memory that feels special.

Every class ends with a rosé toast to celebrate the group and the occasion. It is simple, meaningful, and always unforgettable.

Yoga can be a moment of joy.
Yoga can be for everyone.
Yoga can be the highlight of your weekend.
