Best Charleston Bachelorette Airbnb Rental Options & Tips
Cobblestone streets, rooftop bars, pastel houses, and six miles of beach twenty minutes away. Honestly, is there a better place to send off your single days? We have been bringing private yoga and Pilates parties to Charleston since 2021, celebrating with movement in downtown courtyards, on Isle of Palms decks, and in more rental living rooms than we could possibly count.
So in this guide, we'll explore some of the best Airbnbs in Charleston for bachelorette parties, plus our top tips for planning the weekend we'd plan if it were our girls.
Who Is Behind This Guide?
Gillian Gossow started teaching yoga in Manhattan, where she taught for 10 years before moving to Charleston in 2021 and founding Bad Girls Yoga's Charleston classes. She has personally taught hundreds of bachelorette parties, and the Bad Girls Yoga team has taught thousands in Charleston.
Now planning her own wedding and bachelorette party, she relates to brides more than ever and is focused on giving every group the VIP experience she'd want for herself, her friends, and her family.
How Do You Plan a Charleston Bachelorette Party?
Most Charleston bachelorettes run Friday to Sunday with eight to sixteen of your favorite people. The best part? Downtown is tiny and completely walkable, so once your crew lands, you can do the whole weekend on foot and save the cars for beach days.
Spring and fall are when this city really shows off. March through May and September through November bring gorgeous weather, buzzing streets, and Charleston at full tilt, which is exactly why they book out first. Summer runs hot and sticky, but the rates drop, and the beaches are wide open. And winter? Quiet, charming, and way nicer than anyone tells you.
Our advice is to lock in the house first, Saturday dinner second, and everything else after that. Downtown restaurants open reservations thirty days out, and the good ones vanish within hours. Want the real numbers? Our Charleston bachelorette party cost breakdown runs through it per person.
One Thing Most Guides Get Wrong About Charleston Rentals
Here is the thing nobody mentions: Charleston regulates short-term rentals harder than almost anywhere. Licensed properties carry a City of Charleston operating permit, and plenty of downtown listings are capped at four guests thanks to how the ordinance works on the peninsula.
So before you fall head over heels for a listing, check the permit and the guest cap! Houses that genuinely sleep twelve to sixteen absolutely exist here; they are just usually a hop off the peninsula or out on the islands — and the licensed downtown homes big enough for a full crew get snapped up faster than anything else in the city.
How Much Does it Cost to Rent an Airbnb in Charleston?
The cost of renting an Airbnb in Charleston can vary depending on several factors, including the size of the rental, the location, the amenities offered, and the time of year. Some ways to save are to book in groups, book out of season, or choose a location a little outside of the hustle and bustle. In this guide, we will cover budgets as low as $350 per night all the way to luxe $5,000 per night options.
Where Should Your Crew Stay?
Isle of Palms is the location we get booked at most, by a mile. In our opinion, it is the most beautiful beach around here, and it gives you that proper Charleston beach vibe while still keeping you close enough to downtown. And homes/Airbnbs out there are beautiful.
And if a hotel is more your speed, we come to those too. Downtown, the two we get booked at most are The Dewberry and Hotel Bennett. Both are gorgeous, both are walkable to everything, and both are well used to groups. Just check with the concierge that outside wellness vendors are welcome before you book.
With that in mind, here are some stunning houses to consider.

What Does the Weekend Actually Look Like?
Here are some of the ways our future brides enjoy their weekend; trust us, we’ve seen enough events to know all the tips and tricks to get the most out of your trip.
Friday — everybody lands or drives in at different times, so keep it easy. Get into the house, let people settle in, and find somewhere you can hold a table for a couple of hours without shouting over each other. A porch and a case of rosé will handle the rest.
Saturday — the big one. Class at around 10 am, which is the time most of our groups decide on. Our advice? Book it a little later than you think you want, and do not jam it up against your next plan. Give yourselves some wiggle room between the mats and the rest of the day.
Then brunch, and shop your way down King Street. In the afternoon, get out on a boat. Seeing Charleston from the water is honestly one of the best things you can do here, and it is one of our absolute favorites. Come evening, cocktails are it. The martinis at Halls Chophouse have our whole heart.
Sunday — slow it right down. A long breakfast, a wander through the historic district, maybe an hour on the sand before checkout. If Saturday ran late, a gentle flow on the porch beats another big meal every time.
Our Charleston bachelorette itinerary has the full day-by-day with times and spots.
Where Can You Do Yoga and Pilates in Charleston?
We come to you! Our private yoga in Charleston and private Pilates in Charleston sessions happen wherever you are staying. Pool decks, rooftops, courtyards, porches, backyards, or a cleared-out living room when the sky opens up. We bring the mats and absolutely everything else, so all you need is a bit of floor space.
Now, where to actually do it. We will let you in on something most guides will not tell you, and that is that beach yoga is often much better in theory than in reality if you don’t know all the right tips. We especially steer groups away from Folly Beach for classes on the beach specifically, because it gets really crowded and there is very little space or privacy.
Want to know our secret to great yoga on the beach? It’s actually a session at Sullivan’s Island or Isle of Palms. In our opinion, it is the most beautiful beach and really gives you that Charleston beach vibe while still being close enough to Downtown. But our real favorite spots? Charleston’s beautiful downtown parks. Hampton Park and White Point Garden are both stunning, shaded, and so much more comfortable for a group than an open stretch of beach.
One thing to know: a paid class on public land generally needs a permit. Totally doable; it just takes a little planning! And if you do want sand, our guide to the best beaches near Charleston for a bachelorette yoga and Pilates party covers which ones work for a group.
What Is a Bad Girls Yoga Class Like?
Let us be clear: this is not a hushed studio class. Our Namaste then Rosé™ sessions are upbeat and music-led. We blend yoga and Pilates; your instructor reads the room, switches things up on the fly, and finishes with a chilled glass of rosé because you are celebrating!
A certified instructor who comes to your house, hotel, or rental
Mats and all the equipment, so nobody has to pack a thing
A playlist built around what your group actually listens to
Aromatherapy and a blissful wind-down
A rosé toast to close it out
Sessions run 60 minutes. A $100 deposit holds your date, with final headcount and payment due 10 days before. No experience needed, and we really mean that — almost every group has at least one person who has never tried either, and they always have the best time.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time of year for a Charleston bachelorette?
Spring and fall, hands down. March to May and September to November bring the best weather and the liveliest version of the city, and they book out furthest ahead, so start about six months out. Summer is hot but cheaper with dreamy beach days, and winter is quiet and seriously underrated.
How far in advance should we book?
Six months for the house in spring or fall, three for everything else. Two to three months is usually plenty in summer or winter. And reach out even if your date is coming up fast, because we will always try to make it work!
Can we do a class on the beach?
Yes! Just know that a paid class on a public beach needs a permit your group arranges. Most crews find it easier to use their rental, especially since loads of island houses sit a block from the sand anyway.
What if our rental has no outdoor space?
Not a problem at all. A cleared living room, an open suite, or a covered porch all work beautifully. We have taught in plenty of downtown houses without a scrap of yard.
Does anyone need experience?
Nope! Your instructor adjusts in real time so total beginners and seasoned yogis flow side by side. Nobody gets singled out, we promise.
Does the class work for every guest?
Yes, and this is the question we get more than any other. We tailor every single class to the group. It works for men and women, for any age, and for guests who are pregnant — our instructors are trained in prenatal yoga and Pilates. For anyone under 21 or simply not drinking, we bring non-alcoholic options so nobody is left out of the toast. Whatever the mix of levels in your crew, we make it work, and it is really not intimidating.
Who actually plans our class?
You do, with us. Every detail from start to finish, right down to the playlist, is built directly between the bride, Gillian, and your instructor.
