How did you come across the opportunity to teach with Bad Girls Yoga?

"I did a Google search," Lori says, simple as that! And from there, a partnership was born that's brought Lori’s custom yoga and Pilates instruction to clients all across Miami.

What makes you proud to be a Bad Girls Yoga instructor?

For Lori, the pride comes from the moments she gets to help create. She shares that "being able to provide a unique moment of fun and bonding time for a bride-to-be and her close circle makes me proud to be a BGY instructor." It's this blend of celebration and connection that makes Bad Girls Yoga's private yoga and Pilates sessions so special, especially for bachelorette parties, girls' trips, and group celebrations.

What does yoga mean to you? How has it impacted your life?

“Yoga is about self-healing and turning inward for answers.” She explains that yoga has transformed her life by quieting her mind, bringing peace to her existence, and offering tangible physical relief to her body.

What inspires you to continue teaching yoga to others?

Lori is motivated by the chance to pass along what yoga has given her: “I love to share the healing power of yoga with others, and to show people they too can attain inner peace and bliss.”

Is there a common misconception about yoga you'd like to clear up?

As she describes it, "Yoga is an ancient life philosophy," with breathwork, or Pranayama, serving as one of its most important pillars and a powerful tool for unlocking our own healing power. Lori wants people to understand that yoga is not merely a series of poses.

Describe your class style.

Lori's sessions are relaxed, engaging, and fun from the very first stretch. She starts slow, tailoring each class, whether yoga or Pilates, to what her clients need most in the moment. Then she tunes into their energy and adjusts accordingly.

What's your favorite yoga pose, and what do you love about it?

“Shavasana,” Lori answers confidently. “Nothing better to me than just showing up and being rewarded at the end of the class by just laying on your mat and feeling all the benefits of yoga.” She also shares a fun bit of teacher wisdom: it's technically one of the hardest poses to stay awake in if you haven't had much sleep.

What would you say to someone feeling nervous about trying yoga for the first time?

“Trust your body, and thank yourself for showing up.”

How about your top tip for someone preparing for their first class?

Lori encourages new clients to come in with an open mind. As she puts it, "This class is for you, so tap into your body and carry that awareness with every breath.”
